Symptoms: Causes acute kidney injury. It causes vomiting within 24 hours, and symptoms include diarrhea, loss of appetite, decreased urine output, and weakness.

Treatment: Emetic treatment, making the person vomit the grapes they have eaten. Treatment for acute kidney injury, intravenous drip.

Even small amounts ingested can cause death. If your dog has eaten grapes, take him to a veterinarian immediately.

The dangers of figs

Figs should not be given to pets as they contain toxic ingredients.

Finacin: This ingredient is a proteolytic enzyme that can irritate the mucous membranes of your pet's mouth, causing excessive drooling, diarrhea, and vomiting.

Psoralen: Causes diarrhea and vomiting.

If your cat has eaten a fig, we recommend taking it to a veterinarian.

Summer vegetables and fruits are delicious, and there are many that your pet will enjoy giving them. Do not give grapes or figs as they can be life threatening. Be sure to remove the cobs from fruits whose seeds contain poisonous ingredients and from corn that can cause intestinal obstruction. If your pet accidentally ingests dangerous food, symptoms will vary depending on the individual. It is dangerous to wait and see. Immediately contact a veterinary hospital and tell them when and how much your dog ate, and receive appropriate treatment.
